National Fire Service Day

Today April 14 is observed as National Fire Service Day every year in India to pay homage to the brave fire fighters, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty while tackling Bombay Docks Catastrophe on the vessel SS Fort Stikine berthed at 01 Victoria Docks on 14th April 1944.
